Congratulations Team!

Picture created by Beng Siang.

Congratulations team! To have come so far and finally achieved our breakthrough.

Admittedly, we won with lady luck shining on us throughout the race. If we had met some of the super strong teams in our heats and semis, we might not have made it to the finals.

However, without all the hard work everyone put in throughout the months, without all the sacrifices everyone had made, without all the teamwork and support we gave each other, without the coach's patience and dedication ... luck alone would not have carried us through.

This is an achievement we should be proud of. Let this spur us to greater heights in the future to come.

I am surprised to see BS quote me in the poster. I can't say these are great words. But it's something I truly believe in. I hope this is a legacy I leave with the team in my tenure as a captain.

We train with sweat and blood.
We race with pride and dignity.
We will always win with integrity.
Congratulations team! We will fly higher!

Joy after the race

Breakthrough!

After working so hard, we finally obtain our breakthrough!

We got into the Plate Finals in the Singapore River Regatta 08!

The irony is that we did not realize we actually won a plate and did not stay to collect at the prize presentation!

Now that we have broken through, we aim to fly even higher!

FLUS! Fly high!

River Regatta 2007

Finally, the River Regatta was over.

It was an exciting and tiring weekend. But the results was something we can be proud of as a team.

Although we fell short of the goal of getting into finals, we still have a lot to celebrate.

We had one team getting into the semi finals. In terms of timing, we have shown great improvement. The mixed race combined with the TP alumni girls was the highlight. It was not just that we performed beyond our expectations in that race, but rather, it gave everyone in the boat a taste of what we are really capable of achieving, and what a race run should really be like.

Looking in retrospective at where we were at the beginning of the year and how badly we performed in the June race, we have come a long way. And we have seen the results of the hard work everyone put in this the second half of this year.

Nonetheless, we still made some mistakes in the race. Screwed up a couple of things. We shall learn from there and get better.

There is still a lot of room for improvement. However, we shall celebrate what we have achieved so far. Next year, we will aim higher!
